School in Asamankese

The all-day primary school near the large district town, Asamankese, started operations in early September 2012. There are now over 560 children in 18 classes, including kindergarten where children are provided with food during the day.

This school has collaborated with the University of Education Karlsruhe since 2013, and 4 students have completed an internship in Asamankese or Offinso / Kumasi of 4-6 weeks.

A well with 100 m depth was drilled. Since then, the school, kitchen and guest house have had running fresh water. A photovoltaic system has been installed for each of these three buildings.

This work was reported in Badische Zeitung on September 21, 2012 which you can view here.
